COURSE OVERVIEW

Art with a Purpose: Art Pac 3 & 4

COURSE NOTES

Art practice should be done at least two or three times a week, sometimes under supervision and sometimes as an independent and free-style activity.

These art packets include art projects and instruction with a little bit of a crafts feel to them.  Art Pac #3 teaches advanced coloring techniques, including shading, perspective and more-advanced drawing techniques, paint, paper dolls and fiber pictures.  Art Pac #4 teaches storybook illustration, more-advanced coloring and drawing, three-dimensional drawing.  Set-up time is minimal since everything is included in these little packets except for the crayons, colored pencils, scissors and glue.  (We dumped these patterns, worksheets and everything into a dishpan and the kids would pick through the projects to find the one they wanted to do next.)

To report Art with a Purpose/Art Pak, be sure to give the level number, i.e. ArtPak 3; for the progress, give the number of activities/projects done for the quarter; for the work sample, take a copy of one of the projects and send it to the academy.

Scheduling Suggestions: 3x/wk for 40min
